Shadow AI: The Invisible Workforce

Shadow AI: The Invisible Workforce

It’s clear to me, as I’m sure it is to many, that even when enterprise rules set limitations, individuals naturally gravitate towards AI because the utility is just too compelling.

Here’s what we’re now seeing:

While only 40% of companies have LLM subs, over 90% of employees are already using AI tools in their workflows.

What This Means:

It’s there before you know it: AI isn’t waiting for formal invitations. Its pervasive presence demands recognition. • Governance gaps loom: as entire workforces integrate these tools, our policy framework is left playing catchup. • You need to stay ahead: acknowledge shadow AI as a strategic ally ready to optimise operations.

It’s less about procurement or policy, and more about informed usage.
