Been testing #AI browsers this week: got early access to Perplexity’s Comet and also testing Dia from The Browser Company.
The good: tabs finally talk to each other -no more treating them like filing cabinets. Your research converses across windows- context flows where you need it which makes it feel like you have a bit of extra personal memory cache.
(As an aside: even knowing all this, I still found myself reaching for Safari. Often, the familiar beats the impressive. Human nature.)
The getting there: agentic actions (primarily Comet clicking around for you) is flawed but definitely useful (calendar, email, purchases etc) and will only get better.
The possibly ugly: privacy & security. These browsers not only see but control everything which is both great and concerning.
Whoever wins the AI browser war gets to not only watch but shape and eventually automate everything we do.
PS: one spare comet browser invite available…convince me you won’t just drift back to Safari /Chrome etc😅
